Week three of the RussMatt Tournament
March 8th against Rabun Gap High School (GA) at Baseball City.
With a few rained out cancelations, it was a rather short week for FSBE Academy. Facing against one of the more successful 4A high schools in the recent years of Georgia, FSBE Academy was up for a challenge. Landon Gruenwald got the call and threw 5 innings with 5 walks, 8 kâs in 115 pitches, but the well placed hits were contagious that day as the score ended in 15-5 by way of Rabun Gap.
March 9th against Simpson (IA) Lake Bonny Park
The wind can either be your best friend or worst enemy on the baseball field. Today it was the latter as Simpson took advantage of well place hits and a few costly errors in the field with a final score of 15-4. Giles pitched 4 solid innings for his 3rd appearance this season. Landon Gruenwald went 3 for 4 and scored twice.
