Late offensive surge fails as FSBE falls to MVP Academy 8-6

Kevin Fonseca (0-1) made his first FSBE start on Wednesday going 4 strong innings with his fastball touching mid 80s and striking out 4. But poor defense and too many base runners ended up costing tough outs and clutch moments. Mikey Dobkowski hit his second home run of the season deep into the right field trees and Talin Sandquist hit his first bomb of year to dead center field. The offense came alive in the bottom of the 6th with scrappy hits by Garrett Payne and Tristan Weathers, but it wasn’t enough as the rally was thwarted.

The next game against A3 sports has been postponed due to rain so next game will be in the RussMatt tournament against NLAA on Feb 25th.
